Wikis offer a way to manage information: a convenient place to collect

  1. contact information;
  2. links to save; and
  3. a place to share research.

For many, they function as a DIY homepage to organize material, reduce paper clutter and store it - easily accessible from any computer connected to the netIt’s like a whiteboard – you can post active links – the kind you click on and they take you interesting places – using a wiki makes it possible and easy to get others to do it for you!

  1. What is a wiki? The oldest of second generation web technology - it goes back as far as 1995.
  2. Why wiki (what's in it for me (WIIFM))
  3. Practice: go here to edit and create without fear of messing up.
  4. Where can I get a wiki of my own
  5. A white paper: that arguably accomplishes what I aim to do in a static, text-only, format
  6. Using Wikis for Online Collaboration (book review)
  7. trust building activities
